Task Description:
A Storage System Engineer executes critical on-site reactive and proactive activities, primarily associated with the hardware platform but also needs to be proficient in support of the operating systems and associated products.
S/he provides ownership for the HW and SW installation plans; proactive maintenance and repair; and assures compliance with service levels, contractual commitments and customer expectations; collaborates in the definition of Change Management plans; assures the terms SLA agreed with the customer. Develops and supplies appropriate documentation related to activities carried out.
Your Profile:
• Installation and support of large storage and backup projects
• Works in mission critical environments where technological infrastructure must guarantee service uptime, e.g. Clusters, Storage Arrays, Load balancing, etc.
•Knowledge of the customer’s IT environment from both a technical and operating procedural point of view.
•Operates autonomously to maintain the Service Level Agreement Support high-end systems with complex configurations.
•Use of procedures and proactive tools to prevent and identify problems
•Initiates the process of Escalation in accordance with procedures
•Collaborates with his team to implement the actions indicated by the SLM.
•A good knowledge of: Servers; SAN and networking; O.S.; Cluster; Mirroring and Arrays; Remote tools installation and utilization; etc.
•A minimum of one certification of these manufacturers: Brocade , NetApp, Cisco MDS, Hitachi.
•Min 2 years experience as System Engineer or similar.
•Fluent French and English. German or other language would be an advantage
•University Degree in Engineering or BAC+3 or equivalent.
•Demonstrated service soft skills.
