Project Manager – Multiple project
1. Context of the mission
Within the credit Back Office activity of the Bank, a number of (smaller) projects (workload < 200 MD)
will have to be executed:
- Transfer of activities from IT to OPS
- Information and Access Management
- Migration towards Windows XP Platform
- Optimization of technical bridge between different IT systems
- Building of an interface between an acquisition tool and a Backoffice tool
- Reworking of operational model between front and backoffices
- …
In order to support the Business Analysts and Asset Managers that will be working on these projects, we
need two project managers who will have to ensure the:
- governance
- initiation
- scoping
- planning & fixing of deliverables
- follow-up of planning
- project status reporting
- testing
- change management
- implementation
- issue handling
2. Period mission
Start Date: ASAP.
Duration: 30/06/2012 with possible extension until EoY
3. Language requirement
Active knowledge of Dutch and French and preferably English (spoken & written).
4. Localisation of the job
Brussels (near Central Station) with occasional/potential visits to other cities in Belgium
5. Required knowledge and experience
University graduate or Graduate, or equivalent
Required level and content of based on experience education
Personal skills
Mandatory:
- precision and clarity (oral, written)
- communicative (with team members and with IT colleagues, our clients & other partners)
- experience with project management
- very good coaching skills
- fast learner
- team player
Preferable:
- flexibility (in peak periods extra efforts may be required; willingness to work hard)
- ability to compromise on solutions with multiple parties (Business, IT)
Business experience required
Mandatory:
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience as Project Manager
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in (operational) Resource Management
Preferable: Knowledge of Credits domain
Technical experience required
Mandatory:
- coordinate & manage Project phases
- affinity with IT systems and processes
- ability to work with IT department to transfer & explain specifications to developers
Preferable: Knowledge of Credits domain
Functional experience required
Mandatory:
- Project Management Methodology
- large experience with planning and structuring a project, identifying and assigning all relevant tasks that need to be executed to ensure the success of the project
- experience with a project planning tool (such as ‘Microsoft Project’)
- expertise in functional/technical analysis, test preparation & execution, roll-out support (‘V-model’)
- ability to work with IT department to sign-off IT developments during the testing phases
- experience with defects and incident management
- experience with change requests management
- risk awareness (judging severity of incidents)
6. Objective of the job
- Lead different projects
- For these projects, manage:
- governance
- initiation
- scoping
- planning & fixing of deliverables
- follow-up of planning
- project status reporting
- testing
- change management
- implementation
- issue handling
- Coach his/her team members in the above activities
- Align and follow up the parallel activities that are being performed within IT
